About:
Savvy Miss is an online gathering place for women to express themselves and talk
about what they care with other women and men too. Savvy miss offers entertaining
and informative articles, interviews, message boards and blogs covering everything
from dating and relationships to careers, politics, sex, beauty, fashion, and pretty
much everything else that can be thought of.
Solution:
Krendls Ltd jointly with our partner's company Cannonbose LLC delivered Savvy Miss a
bigger part of custom developed solutions.
The work-scope includes:
- Slight changes in tt_news: new algorithm of paging (characters count instead of
word). New algorithm makes articles look better with the same height on each page.

- Shopping section. http://www.savvymiss.com/shopping/ The
main point was to build an affiliate system with possibility to manage products
so easy as it possible. Shopping section provides advanced search, categorizing,
featured products, filters, paging, etc. (tt_news + tt_news' hooks)
- Flash articles preview. We've implemented the scheme TYPO3 -> tt_news -> tt_news
hook -> XML -> Flash. This allows user to see the links to the latest &
featured articles, blog's entries and pages in an interactive way. (tt_news hooks,
typo3 hooks, flash, libXML)
- Shopping navigation with possibility to mark elements as "NEW" in a flexible manner
(custom plugin with tt_news)
- RSS Feeds. http://www.savvymiss.com/rss-feeds-list.html (tt_news configuration)
- Slight "tipafriend" extension modification. Provides "send to friend" possibility.
