The Goal: Development of a system change notification system for
TYPO3 CMS
Used Technologies: PHP, Mysql, Apache
Frameworks: TYPO3 CMS
About:
Stonebriar exists to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship
with Jesus Christ. Customer history dates back to 1998, when a small group of people,
including Senior Pastor Chuck Swindoll, founded a church in Frisco, Texas. They
are a nondenominational, evangelical Christian church. That means that they are
governed by own elders, not an outside organization. About 3,500 people worship
at Stonebriar each Sunday.
Solution:
Krendls Ltd jointly with our partner's company Cannonbose LLC delivered Stonebriar the
system which notifies definite persons about changes being made on the site, such
as: content, artcles & news changing, loggin in\out, etc.
The work-scope includes:
- Full analysis, Architecture, Specification document.
- Development of "Log Analyzer". BE module which parses typo3 tables (sys_log, sys_history,
tt_content, tt_news, tt_news_cat)(Data Object)
- Development of "BackEnd data aggregator". System shows the report from "Log Analyzer"
in a user-readable format. Also near each point BackEnd aggregator generates link
to FE difference viewer.
- Development of "FE difference viewer". This shows detailed information about changes
being made on the item (news, content, page, etc.)
- Development of "XLS report generator". This part of the system generates XLS report
with pages based on information from "Log Analyser"
- Development of "Mail sender". Script which is running daily by a Unix cron, will
calls a function from log analyzer to generate a report and send this to recipients
from distribution list. (fe_user parsing, cronjobs)
- Good documentation & extension manual. Customer is looking forward to put this work
to typo3 ext repository.
